 Scanning an Order

Here are the five simple steps to scanning an order :

Step 1

Select New Order from the OrderMaster PPC menu.

OrderMaster Order Entry has many possible options for any potential special circumstance, but actually taking your average order is covered by the simple method shown on this page.

Step 2

Type in the Customer's Phone Number, then tap
Start Order with this Customer

Step 3

You now see a list of all orders stored in the PPC for the current current customer.

Normally this list will have only one order, the new one you have just started.

In our example, three orders are shown.

You can take several orders in one scanning session for the same customer.

Tap Item by the label "New:" to begin scanning.

Step 4

With this screen, you begin scanning the order. Just point the scanner at the bar code and press the PPC button assigned to scan.

Step 5

The item has been scanned, and you may enter a quantity, or tap the up and down arrows to adjust the quantity.

When ready, simply tap
Enter Next Item, and then do it again!

At any time, you may drop the PPC in its cradle to load the orders into your computer to:

* save the order

* print an acknowledgement
